so i bought a remote control to use for kodi on my computer and it is preventing both windows and my monitor from going into sleep.

pulling the usb dongle out lets it go to sleep so i know its the culprit.

is there a way to prevent this? The dongle itself feels quite flimsy and i know if i keep pulling it out it will fall apart rather quickly so that's not really an option.

Hi Tylerr,

Have a look see:

Follow this tutorial: :ar: Devices - Allow or Prevent to Wake Up Computer

USB Suspension: :ar: USB Selective Suspend - Turn On or Off

Nic

tried the first one and got

C:\Windows\system32>powercfg -devicedisablewake "USB Audio Device"
You do not have permission to enable or disable device wake.

i started it as admin so i'm not sure why it says that. I also do not have any power management options for the device if i open properties from device manager.

and i have selected suspend activated.

i ran:

C:\Windows\system32>powercfg /devicequery wake_from_any

i think it is USB Input Device (002), as its called "Location 0 (0000.0014.0000.002.000.000.000.000.000)" under properties

but "USB Audio Device" is not listed.
