Fresh install of Win7 Pro on new hardware from a USB DVD. As soon as all of the files are loaded and the first screen appears (asking for country, etc.), all of the USB devices (DVD drive, keyboard, mouse) shut off. Tried a different mouse, same result. I'm suspecting that it might be a driver issue, but is there anything else I should look at, also?

Are your mouse and keyboard wireless? If so, you might have to try to connect to the receiver at the point you're at.

I was thinking about this yesterday and my answer was a little bogus because you said the optical drive also wasn't connected. Sorry about that.
