Usb keyboard not working correctly - win7 64-bit

guys please help , i just bought a usb keyboard and its not functioning well.. i used to have ps2 keyboard before this one but its now defective thats y i bought a new one . i have search everything on the web and it seems that the only way is to use a ps2 adapter.. im planning to buy 1 if u advice me to..

i have talked with a technician and he told me to change my os to 32 since im using 64 . is dat a valid reason ?

You could return it, and instead purchase a USB Wireless keyboard.

Hi ra926262,

If the system have a USB port then it should without any issues. All you need to do is plugin and windows would install the drivers automatically.

However, if the system doesn't have the USB connector then you have to purchase the PS/2 to USB converter to make it work on the system.

I would suggest it would be better to buy a PS/2 keyboard instead of converter.

Keep us posted with the results so we can advise you further.

Hi there .. When you state its not functioning well. What exactly is the problem .. Does it happen in games or in every program .. You have four USB ports according to your System Specs .. Have you tried the Keyboard in different ports .. Also what is the Make and Model number of the Keyboard .. Is the reason the Tech person told you to change to the 32 bit OS is because the Keyboard only has 32 bit Drivers .. And PS2 Adopters do work quite well and are inexpensive.
