Try using the other hand.
I'm having pain from the back of my right hand to my arm pit so I started using my mouse with my left hand.
Didn't change the mouse setting just started using the mouse with the left hand.
It's not as easy as it sounds, at least for me.
It is somewhat a challenge. It took me a couple of day to get fair at doing so.
Give it a try and see how long you can do it.
