I am considering purchasing a new iMac and running either Windows 7 or XP as a secondary O/S. I need to run a Windows O/S for certain programs, etc. and in our household, we are a dual-platform family (PC /Mac). The Mac is awesome at what it does and we want to have that ability. I myself am primarily a PC person and run Win7 Pro on a 64-bit platform.

Has anyone run into any issues with using either XP or Win7 on a Mac (mostly interested in Win7 but as stated, am considering XP as well)?

Many thanks....

I have an iMac (2009) & now a separate PC that I'm rebuilding for Windows 7. At one time I had Bootcamp with XP installed but have since removed Bootcamp & installed XP on Virtual Box on Mac's desktop. I wasn't having issues with Bootcamp, just decided I wanted 64-bit Windows as a stand alone PC. XP seems to work well enough on VB but I keep all the heavy graphics for the Win 7 PC.
