VAIO drivers not working,Battery Care Function

I have installed Windows 7, on my Vaio VGN-SZ660N and I`m having lots of difficulties with installing its new drivers.
I can not install Windows Shared Library, So My Function keys do not work any more and more important I do not have my "Battery Care Function" any more which resulted in damage of my battery. Can you help me where I can get "working drivers" for my Model? Because the ones on the Sony website do not seem to be working...

Have you downloaded the correct Windows 7 drivers for your VAIO? 32 bit or 64 bit?

Edit: I see from your system specs you have 32 bit Windows 7. The drivers available from Sony should work for you. You might try this forum at notebookreview.com, it the "owners" forum for the SZ series.

I have downloaded the drivers correctly, but simply they do not get running on my laptop. I have tried to run them in compatible mode too, no use!

Hell bsahar and welcome to Seven Forums.

How did you install Windows 7? Clean install? Upgrade install? Clean install with full install disk? Clean install with upgrade disk? Here are a few tutorials for your review to see if you might have missed a step or did something you shouldn't have. Windows 7 install disks have a lot more native drivers included than did Vista or XP so you should be able to get a good install.

My sony vaio vpceg18fa laptop does not have battery care function. The one i downloaded from the internet is not compatible with the model that i have.. I try to find a solution from sony esupport website but when i type the model name of my vaio they don't have a matched for that model.. Does this website still don't have support for this model? can you tell me where can i download the battery care utility for my vaio?

Hello alvin23 and welcome to Seven Forums. Sony lists your Vaio as part of the Asia - Pacific market. They have a separate web site here:

VPCEG18FA : E Series : VAIO™ Notebook : Sony Asia Pacific

On the right side of the page are two "buttons" called Where To Buy and Support For This Product. Click on the Support button and a new page will open with several tabs. Click on the Downloads tab and you'll be asked to fill in which operating system you're using. From there you'll be able to get original drivers and software patches.

If this doesn't help you may have to contact customer support (link is at extreme upper right hand corner of web page.) Not all features are available on all Vaio models depending on which market the computer is going to be sold in.
