vaio sr490 MODE, 5 blank & SETTING buttons dont work

bought a sony vaio vgn-sr490. installed windows 7, which removed most drivers.

Have managed to reinstall all driverrs except for the buttons at the base of screen. there is a MODE button, 5 blank buttons and a SETTING button.

Any suggestions on how to get these buttons to work? (ie. drivers)
