Each time I start my system, I get an error in the Event Viewer:

The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
VDiskBus

I have not uninstalled any items and have followed previous threads that have not helped me.

Any ideas?

vDiskBus

Seems that the problem is ASUS's Diskunlocker utility. I reinstalled it and the vdiskbus error is no longer in the event log but the DiskUnlocker is getting an error that it is in a bad state 11.

I have unstalled it but the the state 11 issue remains. Diskunlocker is for disks over 2TB. Since I have no disks over 2 TB I can unstall it but then the error vDiskBus returns.

Any idea how to totally clean the system of this error and all remanants of the config?

I have the same error, I finally got pissed off enough to do a backup of my registry and manually search for "vdiskbus" in my registry.

I found a key pointing to a file in sys32/drivers that no longer seems to exist, and about 3 folders. I had to grant myself permission on the folder to remove the key, and then removed the 3 folders and all subkeys.

Rebooted, no more VDiskBus error. =)

You are modifying your registry though so... own risk there.
