Video convert program

Hello, am looking for a video convertng program to convert avis and burn to dvd. Ive tried convertxtodvd which worked well but have read and experienced crashes. Are there any other programs that work just as well, I found convertxtodvd to be very effecient although have ceased using it. Thanks

Will try them out, thanks. One question; is the burning side of things implemented in the software or do I need a seperate program to burn the converted contents. Ty

Windows 7 built in DVD maker can convert and burn avis to DVD and it makes a pretty decent job of it.

With Freemake Video Converter, one can burn it directly to a DVD, or save it to the HDD as a ripped DVD would, or make an ISO. No need for any additional programs.
