Hi,
I installed Virtual PC 2007 SP1 on the host OS of Windows 7 Beta. I installed Windows Server 2003 as the guest with SharePoint Services 3.0 installed. When I run the virtual machine, after I have logged in at random times then host operating system will freeze up followed by a blue screen of death which says something along the lines of "CPU2 timer did not respond in the allocated amount of time".
My computer is an ASUS laptop (W7Sg) with a Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0Ghz Santa Rosa processor and 3.0GB of RAM.

How can I fix this issue as I need to be able to virtualize within Windows 7?

Thanks a lot!

Try enabling Intel VT technology in the BIOS.

Hi TechOutsider,
I couldn't find an option in my BIOS for that, but I'm assuming its enabled since my Virtual PC has hardware virtualization support and since it is enabled by default.

You can try other virtualization technology, such as VMWare Workstation, with a 30 day trial. It dedicates 2 cores to the guest OS, compared to the maximum of 1 core with Microsoft Virtual PC>
