VOB-TS or DVD format files?

When we burn several formats video (movie ) files together in a DVd - and if one of them is VOB or DVD format file - we can see the entire contents of DVD in a PC but when we play the same in DVD Player (stand alone player) - the VOB formats takes over and starts playing and we cannot see other format files (like avi, mkv or h264 etc) to have a choice. Can we prevent this ?

This is more or less dependent on your actual DVD Player. By default, most DVD playes will use the VOB File but there is no specific thing you can do as far I know on the PC that would prevent this when burning the DVD. I would look at the settings on your DVD Player to see if you can change this. If you list the model, it may help us in finding some solution to this to see if it's possible.

It is Philips DVP 3146K. I think - it has got very limited features and out of date. Please let me have your opinion and suggestion.
