Ok so I don't really like playing game since start of 2012. But when I play games, when I hold the W button for a pretty long period, the games still thinks I'm holding the W button for a short period of time.

Anyway this happens in any games. Need For Speed, Counter Strike, Assassin's Creed, etc.

My laptop specification, just in case if needed:
Acer Aspire 4750G
Intel Core i5 2410M @ 2.30 GHz
Nvidia GeForce GT 540M Cuda 1 GB

Its probably because the key is getting stuck and the keyboard is sending a false single to the computer saying as much. It would find another keyboard to test it. The the W key lags with the different keyboard it might be something else. But test the keyboard first.

I think hardware is not the problem... it happens in games only. Not other applications like Microsoft Word, Photoshop, etc.

Okay I think this shouldn't be answered, I found the solution myself. I updated my BIOS. Thanks

That's odd. I would have thought is was an issue with "sticky keys".

Okay so I think if I launch applications or games with high CPU usage would make the keyboard lags.

So, after all this time... did you ever try playing the games with an external keyboard?

If not... what about using a mouse button instead of the W key? or assign the W key to a different key (say 'Q') just to see if it fairs diferently?

We get that you need help but if you are vague or to general on your descriptions of the problem is hard for us to lend a hand! ;)
