Who do you think is lobbying the government for tiered Internet pricing (i.e. against Net Neutrality)?Having a government auction in this country would be nothing more than a bid for who could pay the highest bribes.
Then of course the next step would be if you wanted high speed internet their we be a extra tax that would have to be paid.
I would prefer the free market system. Competition in a free market is always the best way in my opinion.
Surely your own example indicates that the lowest bid was $500/hammer?Years ago their was bid for our military ammo supplier.
Low and behold none of the several American companies got the bid.
It went to a foreign country just by luck because their bid was exactly $1.00 (yes one dollar) the lowest bid.
This auction bid system got this country $500.00 hammers and toilet seats.
It is hard to think what it would do to the internet services.
Doesn't this also indicate that the other companies (US & Foreign) actually wanted >$500/hammer?![]()
Nobody bid $500 for a hammer. Almost all of that expense was administrative costs due to top heavy government administration.
