Solved Wallpaper not Changing in Windows 7

I have recieved a Samsung N110 Netbook for Christmas and it was running Windows 7 Starter. I changed the wallpaper with a program called Windows 7 Starter Edition Wallpaper Changer. It worked very well until I upgraded it to Windows 7 Ultimate. That is when the problem began..
I used the personalize options in Control Panel and the wallpaper will not change. I have click Restore and it still won't change. The other users were fine but my main one has a stuck wallpaper. I want a way to fix it but without having to reinstall the OS or delete the user after backing up my work and creating it again.

Hello,

You may consider doing a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate. I'll bet you your problem will immediately disappear.

Hello Cain, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Yep, that program was the problem. When you upgraded, it included that program with it in Ultimate. Since that program was only designed specifically for Windows 7 Starter, it will cause a problem. :(

You might see if you are lucky and can get away with doing a repair install of Windows 7 after uninstalling that program. If not, then you will need to do a clean or custom install instead.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
