Just to note i have already tried blizzard support and they have failed to find a solution so here goes nothing. I click the launch icon for warcraft 3 frozen throne the launch icon with arthas appears the screen goes black then it crashes.

Program: c:\program files (x86)\warcraft iii\war3.exe
Exception: 0xC0000005 (ACCESS_VIOLATION) at 0023:6F0CDB75

The instruction at '0x6F0CDB75' referenced memory at '0x00000000'.
The memory could not be 'read'.

the last error report i could find in the error logs. I have tried the -opengl and such. compatibility mode as well as updating drivers. ROC and TFT will not launch they both crash the exact same way launcher appears screen goes black program crashes no sound, no changes at all as far as i can tell

+1 on what Mr. Needs said.

On this could be as easy and simple as not having the requirements to play the game, corrupt video and audio drivers, bad installation of the game... without knowing your System Specs (under user CP), it will be very difficult to pin point the issue and you will receive a lot of speculation.
