Anyone able to access these sites on Win 7? Can the block be bypassed? Using same browsers on Win 11 works. Tried Chrome and Firefox.
Thanks

Hi, I have just tried Costco.com and went straight into website, pages seem ok. I am using Google Chrome - the last version that supported Win7.
You could try giong to Control Panel and Internet Options then under the tab Content click Clear SSL State. Pete

First off every single one of those pages worked for me. Secondly you're accusing them of blocking Windows 7 when the issue would more than likely be the browser version. Finally there are derivatives of modern browsers backported to Windows 7. If you'd looked anywhere on the forum in the browsers section you would have found that as it's been discussed over and over again for the past year. If you continue to use outdated versions of browsers on Windows 7 you probably will experience unsupported browser issues more frequently.

As stated in the OP, Win 11 on the same browser works

townsbg said "browser version". In neither post #1 nor #4 did you indicate whether you were using the same browser version on both Win7 and Win11.

Regardless, this is a well known phenomenon with old browser versions, and for Win7 the only compatible versions of Chrome or Firefox are just too old by now. Stop using them. Use a more modern version. Supermium is a fork of a more modern version of Chrome, and R3dfox is a fork of a more modern Firefox version, and both are being back-ported to work with Win7. Stop using Chrome and Fifrefox.

Firefox returns the OS version as Windows 10 however you didn't say the browser you used. Although websites can check the OS by other means they more likely they just check the browser version. Now since they work for me on Firefox 115 then they aren't blocking windows 7 or older browsers. It's something on your end. I would start by clearing your cache. I think it's interesting that all but one of them returned the same website in the error edgesuite.net. According to a google search that's where you should start.

Thanks for checking Lenovouser72

Still don't know the cause but found a workaround

Go to About:Config and create the new string general.useragent.override

Enter "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:150.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/150.0"
