Windows 7 Broken, or Is It Just These Websites?

Hello, I have a computer running Win7 that can longer access certain sites (only 2 known so far, my family mentioned it to me); the page layout is either broken, or doesn't load at all. I've attached IPConfig and screenshots of the errors, and I've disabled Norton, tried DNS flushing and IP release/renew, to no effect. I'm willing to try them again though, maybe I was using them wrong.

ISP is Xfinity xFi, and the Modem Model is Technicolor CGM4140COM, wired to the computer.

Is this something I can fix, or should I just upgrade to Win10?

Thanks in advance!

- Check your browser is updated.
- Use PING from a command prompt window to PING the web address.
- Try a different browser.

I've attached ping and tracert results, and even a chkdsk, if that helps.

I've tested Firefox, Chrome, and IE on all computers in the house running Win7, and none can display these 2 websites.

Also changed DNS servers to Google's 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 under IPv4-- no effect; however the router still uses Xfinity's DNS settings and I can't seem to change those.

Disabled IPv6-- loaded broken websites faster

I've reset the TCP/IP settings before, should I try again?

According to isitdownrightnow.com, that EZ-Pass site is just down. I can access it on any Windows10 laptop though.

Home Depot's site is supposedly up and working but I can't load it on Windows7 pcs. Only Win10 computers load the site with the correct layout.

I've checked the hosts file (it's default), and tried the sites while in Safe Mode w/ Networking, to no effect.

Is this not actually a problem on my end?

I cannot access EZ-pass from my Windows 10 browser. It says

Could be a COVID-19 error?!

If you're a Chrome user and absolutely have to use Chrome, check out UnGoogled Chrome. Same Chrome interface, no Google crap. So it's stripped down.

Downloads for ungoogled-chromium

See this? Those are hashes for the files used for verification. Use HashCalc to verify the file integrity to make sure it wasn't messed with. Just drag and drop or navigate to the .EXE and out pops hashes. I just look at the first four and last four of the numbers. If right, chances are the file you downloaded hasn't been messed with.

Or better yet, get in the habit of uploading each and every download you download to Virus Total and not only will it scan the file for viruses, but give you the SHA256 hash as well. Note that some files may have one or two false positives from the virus engines. If there are community comments read them. If it's just one to three hits the file is probably safe.

Great thing about Virus Total is that they get malware samples to use from the U.S. Cyber Command.

sudo dork mode off LOL!

Today, the HomeDepot link is fine. The EZ-pass is still down, but the message has changed since two days ago - perhaps you should try again this evening or tomorrow. Or try F22 Simpilot's suggestion.
