hi

i connected the boot drive (SSD) from a ''dead'' Win7-32bit pc to a laptop (on win10) to try to access the info on the SSD.....

while i can see the files of the pics, etc in the File Explorer.......whenever i scroll down the list of files......it will automatically return to the top of the list again after a short while................

is this becoz the SSD has Win7 OS still on it and connected to a Win10 laptop ?

how do i solve this problem so i can scroll down the entire list of the files ?

many thanks !

You wont have permission on the old drive it will be owned by a SID from the old pc you will need to take ownershipt of folder to gain access its normal for this to happen we have a util to do this and tutor Add Take Ownership to Context Menu in Windows 10 | Tutorials

many thanks indeed for the info.........so if i took ownership then i'll be able to access the info as usual ?

so i will need to do this whenever i connect this SSD to a new pc ?
