Weirdest issue ever? Is it my ears?

Well, this one's gonna be hard to explain..
So, the problem is basically this, whenever I launch Alice Madness Returns I get a weird "buzzing" noise coming from my rig, but when I minimize it to the desktop, the noise disappears. Now, it is either my ears that are ****ed up (they are infectioned) or it is really a problem, a fan maybe.. but why? Because, when I run Prime95 it does not happen! I've tested it several times, minimizing the game and then quickly maximizing it again, the noise is only audible when the process is maximized.

Now, that is extremely weird, and once again I have no clue what the problem may be.. my ears do hurt because of the infection but I can swear that there is a noise coming from inside the rig when the game is running. :huh:

EDIT: Okay, it is definitively not my ears!!! Sounds like it is coming from the rear back of the computer.. Geez, it is annoying as hell!

I don't think so, I've checked the graphics card's fan and there is no problem with it whatsoever.. the odd thing is that this happens only with that particular game (Alice Madness Returns), so it couldn't be the fan. Also, all my other fans are connected directly to the power supply, running at full speed (A70 is connected to the mobo itself but it also runs at full speed all the time since it lacks a PWM controller). So, it is definitely not fan related.

Crysis 2 which needs way more juice than Alice MR doesn't make such noise. :huh:

I'm out of ideas..

YOu know, everyone is just going with their best guess. Could it be due to graphics or audio card or driver? My clue is that the sound correlates with the size of the screen

Sounds like you've done this already, but if you muted the game or powered off your speakers, then played the game, you'll know if it is due to something in your case, or a sound created by the software.
