Maxie, there is one thing that I have noticed since I got back my Windows 8.1 computer. There are no power buttons on the login screen. All it shows is where you log in and accessibility and network options. Do you know how I can get the power buttons back?

I am talking about when you login to your account. Like, when you boot it up, it asks you to enter a password to log in. There are no power buttons there like there used to be.

Yes. Everything is installed. It said Windows was up to date.

No...I don't recall seeing it yesterday either.

I do not have a Login Screen it goes straight to Windows .. I do not think it is some thing you really need ...

Good your DVD player seems to disconnect ... I have seen this though on some Laptops looks to be a feature to save power ..
