What Games Are You Playing? [3]

Not watching because I haven't really started Evil Within yet and don't want any spoilers.

But overall, what do you think of it? It looked promising from what I did play.

I have a pretty big backlog right now

I just finished Lords of the Fallen and now on Dragon Age Inq.

Lords of the Fallen was OK, and for those who loved Dark Souls may be worth a look. For those who do not like the Souls games, don't bother because they are ALOT alike. Its quite obvious where Lords gets its inspiration.
It had some good concepts, and in some ways a bit better, but overall it falls short of expectation IMHO. But it can be frustrating at times. Combat feels clunky sometimes and smooth other times for example.

If you are interested, I wouldn't pay full price for it IMHO. Ok game, but not worth 50 or 60$$
I may actually replay it though, as a Warrior. I finished as a Cleric and didn't complete all the optional content or get all the collectibles.

It's pretty darn hard actually i am playing on the hardest difficulty
the game is getting very interesting and pretty much doing a few effects never seen on the average survival horror couple times the character double takes and that is rare good shyt which i have to appreciate

I am at that Boss that is up right now but the lady is a frigging beast man once you get it going you will see this game has potential and could of been more polished but overall good stuff so far

I started The Evil Within, but then got distracted by ACU and FC4. I definitely plan on going back to it though. I love the way it starts out.

I usually tell people that "minimum" is just to get the game to run, while "recommended" is the new minimum

They really need to ditch the "Minimum" settings. it's just a cash grab and a recipe for disappointment.

There should be "recommended" for mid level setups and "Ultra" for bells and whistles rigs.

Every since they moved from the original Far Cry concept I've stayed away. I tried Far Cry 2 a few months after it was released and never finished it. Simply didn't like it.

Far Cry 3 was what FC 2 should have been. FC 4 is basically FC 3, but with a few additions and a new setting.

I guess that what annoys me more about UBI, more than having shody and unoptimized console ports is the fact that their shooter games have huge potential, potential that if they took 2 more minutes working on it instead wasting time thinking on ways to scam people out of money, their games would be Games of the Year all of the time. Arrgghh!

I do agree with smarteeyeball... FC3 is what FC2 should have been. FC4 looks to be more of a sequel of FC3 that they botched as usual.

I miss the good old days where all these little DLC packs were just part of the game. But you didn't pay extra for it.

It was all included and up to you to find and unlock. Most of which didn't have any impact on the main game, but were extra things for the fans to find.

Now you just pay to add those little things. Disappointing.

It's actually a pretty fun, and frustrating, game.

Just got a ps4. It is amazing! I also already had a vita, and I have to say, remote play works fantastic!

I have gta 5 and last of us bundle. I beat last of us (borrowed) on ps3 and it was fantastic, cannot wait to beat it again!

Gta 5 with first person makes it so much of a better game. For me at least. I do get annoyed with every 3 words being a curse word though. Seriously, no one talks like that.

I also got killzone shadow fall, great game as well.

True. But gta isnt a military game lol. I just get annoyed with it as all. I find curse words stupid and pointless. I understand some of them have greater feeling or emotion behind it and have a call for a situation. But to repeatably say it for no reason at all gets on my nerves.

Yep, I feel your point, there at times a curse word has no particular bearing on the immersion of a game and when they just say it for saying it sakes it gets extremely annoying. It reminds me of other games that just because they are Rated R think its ok to bombard the whole game with curse words.

I guess the youngins enjoy the game more this way... we're getting old folks LOL

When I was in the Military, it was much that way. I went to Paris Island in 1965, and from there went to advanced infantry training an attended another advanced school. It was not possible for any DI or instructor to string 3 words together without one of them being a curse word. I was not raised that way. But, I was able to get leave for Christmas before going over seas. At Christmas dinner with my entire Family sitting at the table, I said pass the F****** butter. No one said a word. Every eye was permanently affixed on me. You could have heard a pin drop. I was thinking, "I can't believe I just said that", but I had. I apologized profusely to everyone there. I explained the above to them and said no matter how hard you try, you become a part of the environment you live in (which is true). My Father, a WWII veteran, just looked at me, then looked around the table and said, What he is saying is absolutely the truth, and I used to be just like that . (God bless his Soul). I did promise to do my best to not do anything like that again. My Father said, 'but he will, I'm sure, so just accept it' and went back to eating. Everyone else just smiled and started eating. My Father got me out of a bad situation, which I made all by myself. But that is the way it was in the Marines back then and I seriously suspect it still is.

In the FWIW department, I do not curse anymore. On a rare occasion I may say a 'Hell' or 'Damn' or something like that, but for the most part, I don't curse. So, that's why I made that comment to Andrew, and he is correct about it having no meaning but done just for the sake of doing it. But, it is customary that it happens in the Military as a way of life. That story I just told is true, I'm sorry to say. It's a simple matter of life, and occasionally my Sister will tell the story on me. I just try to remind everyone that it should serve as an example of once you say something, you cannot ever take the words back no matter how much you apologize. So, think before speaking and make sure you brain in in gear before opening your mouth.

Well said essenbe. While I have not been in the military what you say makes perfect sense. It is very hard when you have been surrounded with something for so long to not copy or do what you see.

GTA 5, Destiny, COD:AW, and NBA 2K15 are the games I'm rotating right now. Tough to get enough time on any of them these days but I do the best I can. Gaming used to be a big part of my life, but as I've grown older, I seem to have less and less time for it, which is sad, but a mans gotta work lol.

Bought the Humble Weekly Iceberg Interactive Bundle that includes Gas Guzzlers Extreme and Crysis 3 off Origin December Super Sale for about 5 bucks now still waiting for my new GPU to arrive -___- so I can start enjoying some new games like Shadow of Mordor, FC4 and Crysis 3 of course....
