My Windows 7 will not activate wants me to buy another license? Yesterday it wanted me to download windows 10? I reformatted to have a clean slate for Windows 10 now nothing? Please ehlp!

After talking to Microsoft I was informed that since I purchased Windows 7 ultimate I have reformatted 75 times and have changed my hardware 25 of those times so my product key was blocked. I could not believe it this is stupid I said to the south Asian fellow that It has all been on the same computer but he said they will do nothing....

Rather then play around and spend time cleaning the ridicules amount of spam, viruses, and malware on the net that even McAfee, Norton or AVG doesn't pick up I reformat. All my programs are backed up and so this was the easiest way to fix anything with the computer. Funny thing was I was getting the system ready for Windows 10 and this is a legal OS but I guess it looks bad. The fellow said that I changed hardware 25 times and reformatted 50 times. It really doesn't matter now as I am downloading and going back to Linux as it is free and you can reformat till the cows come home.

I felt like they were accusing me of pirating when it is a simply case of reformatting is the only way I know of fixing a computer and also keeping my computer up to date is important to me (hardware). I am a 62 year old man and I am fighting cancer so I do not go anywhere and the last thing I do is run around and put my OS on everyone's computer. Plus if it wasn't legal why did they send me a link for windows 10 freebee....
