I'm washed up on the shores of your reliable solid sense, exhausted from navigating the Sea of SmileyFaceGates round the continental ass of The United Phishing Phatwas of Everyquestionbutthat, on my little IGuessIAskItWrong(tm) Raft. Just- will there come a day when I'll regret clearing the 644 MB of Debug Dump Files, & the same amt. of System Error Memory Dump Files, as advised here by Windows System Cleanup--for some unforseen reason? Diagnostics?
I know I'm stuck forever- right?-w/ghost ships of junk programs lurking in the Sargasso Sea of my creaking old HP Pavilionx64Win7PC because I used to think Uninstall files seemed unnecessary.
BTW, do the "Downloaded Program Files & "SETUP LOG FILES" (miniscule amt. of each) ever include uninstall files?
NB: Some of my services cannot be started any more, such as Backup and Restore. Havne't been able to creat a restore point since 2012. Event Log hasn't worked for 2 years either. Same for Firewall, COM+ Event, Diagnostic Service & System Host,... Am finishing cc'ing all my files off to a hard drive in order to reinstall Win7. About 40 others, like BLock Level BackupEngine, Software Protection,WIndows Event Collector, & others - EVEN Windows EVENT COLLECTOR, I have to restart either after every bootup or frequently while booted up, because they don't start and once started either stop PUNKT upon shutdown or keep stopping all the time again w/out my help,. Especially when I'm downloading updates...whew, It's been this way for a couple, three years. --I know, I know.
It's for this reason I'm nervous about jettisoning anything that might enable an otherwise blacked-out diagnostic down the road.
