What is the easiest way to share internet connection and files?

Two notebooks.
Both Windows 7 Home Premium.
One wired cable modem (no wireless option).

I am choosing temporary wireless ad hoc network, but the next day, the network is having problems to connect, and I am having to create another network.
It is no problem with me, but the user is not computer savy, and I do not think she can do this.

At first, I created the network, shared the internet connection and even made the two computers in the same homegroup with read/write option, but if the network cannot connect, it will be hard on the user to understand the problem and fix it (Not everybody's mind is computer/math savy, and yes, they do have the right to use computers).

I will try to teach her how to create a ad hoc network, but I was just wondering if there is another easier way than I am doing.

And also, I was wondering if there is any way to create a shortcut for "Set up a wireless ad hoc (computer-to-computer) network" ?

there is a reason it's called 'temporary'--it goes away when either machine is shutdown---see this link--especially the section about

"If you think you might want to reuse the same connection in the future, tick the Save this network box."

By its very nature, an ad hoc network is a temporary setup.

The term ad hoc originated in Latin and means "for the specific purpose, case, or situation at hand and for no other.

Tman69 has given you good advice so I hope it helps you find a solution to your particular problem.

I am already saving the network.

The thing is for example the created network Ntwrk does not connect the next day so she will have to create Ntwrk2, and 3 and so on anytime she needs to share the files or internet connection.

As long as she can do that as I showed her she will be ok I hope.
