Whats changed with Hotmail ?

Hi all, went on my pc tonight and wanted to send a zip or rar file to a friend with some pics in and hotmail now shows a loading bar for the upload of the attachment and then tells me files with errors wont be uploaded. ???
The zip or rar (i tried both) are perfectly ok so whats going on ?
Why do they need to change things ? i only sent a rar file yesterday, it was fine ?
Please someone help me out
I run Windows 7 Ultima 64 and have the latest Firefox.

AArrr, Good old Windows update installed something called Silverlight !!!! well fu@@ silver light and fu@@ windows update, the times this piece of sh1te has caused a problem rather then enhanced my system is one times too many now.
Windows update is OFF permenantly !!!!
Dont mend what aint broken !
Uninstalled silversh1te and all is back to normal.

Use Windows Update manually so you can selectively decide when and what to update and hide the stuff you don't want to see again.
