Hey, my computer has suddenly gotten super, super slow after restarting... I have a 3.5GHz OC and 4GB RAM so I would think it would be quite fast. Well, it was untill the restart. The disk activity LED is constantly on now.

Logging in takes alot more time aswell...

Can anyone tell me what this is about?

Thanks,
B3

I think this is what you need

In cases of huge slowdowns without much abnormal CPU or memory usage it's usually because some file(s) are being accessed constantly. Use SysInternal's (now Microsoft's) Process Monitor to see what files are being accessed by the drive and how long they spent doing it. You can collect a log over a period of time, stop it and scroll back through it; there will probably be a chief offender that will give a big clue.

As I can see the log,you has been infected, exactly the registry was infected. Also in log it says that is deleted.
There is no some unneeded process in task manager that can make troubles.
Will be good to run Disk Defragmenter. And another thing. Go to Run->msconfig,and in General tab select Normal StartUp. Apply and Ok,and restart the pc. See how it will going.

There was one infection found on the Registry but has it improved performance even for a bit?

Do you have any other antivirus programs besides Norton 360 5.0 installed in your computer? Because having 2 antivirus programs installed and running on your computer usually makes it slow especially on startup.

Would you mind posting another screenshot? This time, take a screenshot of your startup programs. Go to the Start Menu, open Run, type msconfig then press Enter. Go to the Startup tab and take a screenshot of that and post it here.

Use CCleaner to clean junk files that contribute to the slowing down of the system.

Good luck.

Looking back at your post, you said you have Norton 360 5.0 as your antivirus, then you posted a Malwarebytes log. Was Malwarebytes AND Norton there BEFORE your computer started slowing down?
