If you have a gigabit NIC, it would say: 10/100/1000
If you have a 100 megabit NIC, it would say: 10/100
If you have a 10 megabit NIC, its time to upgrade.

My jaw dropped too when I saw the speed test needle practically spin off the screen In June of this year Shaw is having 1Gb free trials for 6 months in a certain part of town, I hope I'm in that 'certain' part!

It varies, about 300KBps to 1200KBps, just depending on where I'm downloading from, time of day etc.

For fun I'm downloading OpenOffice at 450ish KBps right now.

300-1200 kilobytes / s(kB/s)? That's right? If thats true,you should have up to 10MBit fast connection.
