OK. I redid my speedtest with the thread standard speedtest.net:

I should also point out that I have two TTY connections opened in the background when I did this. But there's not much activity on them, so I doubt it slowed me too much.

From Norcal to LA server. While streaming veetle. Also wouldn't we get a better picture of performance if everyone pointed to the same server? I also notice bigger cities seem to have the better speed. Like if I ping NY I get in the 40's Mbps while close by to me I'm only getting in the 20'sMbps.
