What's your memory assessment speed?

Britton30's zip file worked fine for me after extraction. In fact it is the only one that has.

All the online downloads of Maxxmem I have had problems with. Go figure.

At least we both have working versions now.

Mike

Here is mine. Not bad for default settings.
I have OC'ed the CPU and RAM higher but couldn't tell any difference in "real world" performance only with the benchmarks...except the higher temps of course.

Higher temps are good, Mike. They keep you on your toes.

Thanks Gary, Downloaded. So, now you are a member of another forum? I'm afraid to count how many I'm a member of. I may have a better idea if I ever went to any of them.

I got one question, it's not about this thread, but it's with ram memory. As we know there are ram coolers on the market, so that means that the ram is getting higher temperature. How can I check that temperature ?

StalkeR, I imagine you would have to run a diode to the ram to get the temps, or do what I do, put you hand in there and touch it. It won't hurt you. My opinion is ram coolers are for the 'bling' effect, they are not really needed. Maybe if you do some extreme things with the ram, but for most of us it is just for looks.

Thanks. I'm surprised myself as well after looking at the past threads with the same laptop RAM specs as mine. The original 2GB RAM only scored a measly 5.5, and the expanding virtual paging file when RAM usage is nearing maximum really hurts multitasking performance. But after swapping the 8 GB kit, I can finally open up 20 tabs in ie9, wmp, more than 10 adobe pdf files, all MS office without any hiccups. I haven't actually filled it up to more than 75 % usage with all those stuff loaded.

Sorry StalkeR I don't think I answered your question. I don't know of a utility that shows ram temps. There may be one, but the motherboard would have to have a sensor there for a utility to read it. Many fan controllers have temp sensors you can place where you want to. That may give you an idea, but most of them are not very accurate.

There's definitely wrong with your memory assessment speed since your WEI RAM score is 7.6. You should be getting above 18000 MB/s to match that WEI score.

As for me, I get a 7.2 WEI Ram Score with memory assessment speed of 17777 MB/s.

Welcome to the forums Karaisoke.

Great scores for a laptop there!

What performance issues are you having? What speed is your Ram?

It was a great laptop when I got it (especially for the price holy crap) and I could do anything I wanted on it. Game in ridiculously high graphics while I played music and no problems. I started noticing sound clipping in games. If I wasn't playing music or had anything else running. My machine had slowed down A LOT and from this forum I was able to speed it up a little, but most games are unplayable. I can run Photoshop for hours and do ridiculous other things at the same time, but games just don't want to run well at all.

I believe my ram is 1333mhz ddr3
