I am looking at one of my earlier laptops (Windows 7 - 32 bit)
Firstly the shortcut icon (found in programs) shows a wall rather than a shield - is this correct?

The icon itself is missing in the systray. The ^ is showing there, but there is no icon that can be drawn down.
This is a minor thing I know - but is there a way to get the icon showing in the systray?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts and help

Sorry Guys
I made a right horlicks of this one!!:o:o
I am out of touch with Windows 7. I was fooled by the inclusion of 'windows defender' in the control panel - whereas I should have been alive to the fact that this windows 7 installation needs Microsoft security essentials.

This only came to light when an update notification for MSE updates came through - then I woke up to the answers. When the MSE updates were installed, and the settings dealt with - the MSE icon (for systray) appeared. So, all is solved.
Sorry about any confusion
