Where to install Windows 7 64 bit

I have inserted my disc to reinstall windows. I have two spots available to install windows. "Disk 0 Unallocated space" and "Disk 0 Partition 1". When I click on "Disk 0 Unallocated Space" it says Windows cannot be installed on this disk because it is only 100 MB and it needs more space. That's the maximum space that it possesses. I have tried to install it on "Disk 0 Partition 1", but it does not work... What should I do????:eek:

Hello Steve,

If you don't have anything on partition 1, then see if deleting all partitions on "Disk 0" until you only have one "Disk 0 unallocated space" showing. From there, see if you are able to select the "Disk 0 unallocated space" to install to.

I did what you said and it was installing for around 20 minutes and it got to 87% last I checked... Then a window popped up and said "Windows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupt or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x80070017"

Also have a pretty bad speaker setup which is a klipsch promedia 5.1 surround speaker setup with huge subwoofer and lg blu ray player/writer. Also a hp officejet pro 8600 plus wireless all in one and a logitech s7500 webcam.
Download a new .iso from the link and burn it to DVD. Then try to install with that.
