What do you see in the picture below? Is the lady turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?





If you see this lady turning clockwise you are using your right brain.
If you see her turning anti-clockwise, you are using your left brain.
Some people can see her turning both ways, but most people see her only one way.
See if you can make her go one way and then the other by shifting the brain’s current.
If you can switch between seeing her turn either way at will without shifting your gaze, your IQ is above 160 … which is almost at genius level!
This was devised at Yale University for a 5 year study on the human brain and its functions.
Only 14% of the US population can see her move both ways.

I found that I can make her spin either way if I cover all but the foot at the bottom of the picture, until I see it spin the way I want, then raise my hand to see the rest of her.

I even had her turning alternatively one way and then the other, without seeming to do a full turn in either direction.

Something here doesn't smell right...

Mensa requires a 98th percentile for membership, and their standard (as I recall) is generally is an IQ of about 132... Although they don't use IQ as a specific measurement, but rather take the top 2% based on whatever standard intelligence test is taken.

The term "IQ score" is widely used but poorly defined. There are a large number of tests with different scales. The result on one test of 132 can be the same as a score 148 on another test. Some intelligence tests don't use IQ scores at all. Mensa has set a percentile as cutoff to avoid this confusion. Candidates for membership in Mensa must achieve a score at or above the 98th percentile on a standard test of intelligence (a score that is greater than or equal to that achieved by 98 percent of the general population taking the test).

Also, according to Wikipedia (which obviously is not definitive on anything) a genius of 160+ in IQ would be at the 99.994th percentile So the 14% and IQ of 160 in this "study" are obviously wrong.

technically not as you can see from the part that i quoted...
those that looked at only the feet don't count...
if i concentrate enough i can sometimes distinguish and do it half of the time at will but half of the time i cant...
so does that make me a half-genius or a genius half of the time?....

interesting that you bring this up and i have to agree with what you presented as could not find any concrete evidence only blogs...
i also found out that this is not a test of intelligence but more of test of perception of vision...

its not a trick, i actually am able to focus enough to make her spin both ways. at first i thought it was a random image that would flip to trick people, but apparently not.

truthfully tho intelligence is not measured by the half of the brain you use.
