except in the mountains! and the snow on the local mountains down here (socal) has already melted!... We never have snow for Christmas in Calif!
i was there for both of those events (charleston air force base). as far as the snow in the lowcountry, luckily for me, i had just came from alaska so i had experience in snow driving. unlucky for me, however, was that EVERYBODY else in the lowcountry had absolutely NO experience driving in the snow!The only white Christmas I've seen in the 35 years that I've been in South Carolina was in 1989, the same year (in August) that hurricane Hugo made landfall here.
