I'm using Windows' own Firewall, but it keeps shutting itself off. How do I keep it turned on?

On the same general subject...Can someone please tell me which Windows Utilities do I need to take care of all of those security issues. I know, silly question, but I'm a set-it-and-forget-it kinda guy, as far as security goes. I don't mind the occasional update, but if someone could kindly put up a list of the M'soft brand of Firewall, Spyware, Anti-virus, Blah, Blah, Freakin' Blah!, I sure would appreciate it.

Tnx,
GPL:confused:

Set it and forget it is the wrong approach to security these days, you must always be vigilant and careful along with keeping on top of w7 updates.

MS has only one real-time protection, which is not real strong. See my sig for MS Security Essentials.
You may also want to download the free MalwareBytes (skipping the free trial) and free Super Anti Spyware to run manually.

You may already have an infection that's turning off the w7 firewall. Scan with those two things and see what they find.
