Solved wifi disconnects when inactive ?

hi all
my wifi seems to disconnect whenever it is idling .. about 75% of the time 25% it will stop streaming netflix or you tube ... when it runs it is great fast downloads no no errors
here is the info you asked for ..

i have checked for new updated drivers with driver easy .. none avail
i have uninstalled wifi adaptor in device manager ( i think .. different name)
i have uninstalled toto app

There is a built in system that is probably the cause of this - Go to the Network controls Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network Connections and locate the connection that is dropping, right click and select properties, then select configure, there should be a Tab on the far right "Power Management" open this tab and deselect the checkbox to "Allow windows to switch off to save power"

This option is a remnant from the days of pay Net access and so is not needed with today's always-on access, there is a timer that acts after a time of inactivity, so if you are watching Netflix or similar if you do not move the mouse or make any other interaction regularly it will break the network connection
