I showed my friend this laptop with these specs and he said that GTA would work on here. Im just looking for verification:

Yes, that would work a LOT better than the Intel graphics chip. Dedicated cards are want you preferbly want. Again though, it's not going to be at the uber super duper best, but you're in the arena of decent settings.

Some people here will say gaming on laptops is just posh, use a desktop, but I've gamed on laptops for some years now. Mobile technology has gotten to the point where a laptop can take over or give a mid-range desktop a run for its money.

I game on my laptop (system specs), and got the laptop before I knew much about graphics cards and the like. But seriously, laptop giving desktops a run for their money? No way in hell lol, for 500 pounds, a laptop would not do much in gaming, but 500 pounds put into a desktop will yield MUCH better results, so your argument is invalid.

Yeah, there is a slight way in hell that can. I've seen a 600 dollar laptop have almost similar capabilities of a desktop that costs about 7-800 dollars. Of course, a dedicated card on the desktop of decent quality will outdo a laptop any day. I'm just saying a laptop of decent specs and dedicated mobile card can do quite a bit.

I recommend making the desktop yourself, by buying all the components and putting it together. Think of it as a jigsaw puzzle, its really pretty easy when you think about it. Its much cheaper and you get a much better bang for buck than buying pre-built desktops.

its resolution is not increasing,graphics are not proper after starting game no roads

Try dumbing the settings down, like lower resolution, lower Anti-Aliasing? I'm not sure if GTA4 PC has that in the options, I know GTA4 Episodes from Liberty City does. Umm, oh, lower the distance rendering, lower the textures, I think you get where I'm going.

As already mentioned, if your wanting a machine for gaming under $500, scrap the laptop idea.

You'll be better off building a desktop.
You'll be able to come up with something that games much better than any laptop in the price range.
