Will this work together?

Hi guys, I got MSI 785GT-E63 motherboard and 2x2gb XMS2 1066mhz that only works on 800mhz cause of my cpu(AMD 965) Sucks right? Anyway
I was thinking about getting more memory from my friend for cheap, 2x1gb ocz 667mhz
Will this work together?

Have you been into the Cell Menu in the bios yet and set the FSB/DRAM ratio to the correct value so the ram will run at the correct speed?

I used to have MSI 770T-C45 mobo but it didnt work, no chips could ever work with the ones I had so I bought the new board. And I tried to set it to 1:2:66 aka 1066
And I just got black screen of death, and It changed back.
Cant I just add the 667mhz and lower the speed in BIOS to 667? So all 4 sticks will go on the same speed?

Double check the specs for the ram (especially the voltage it requires), and if necessary set it manually.

Also I assume you mean adding that 2x1 GB to the existing 2x2 GB. If so with only running 32 bit Windows according to your specs I wouldn't bother as you will never use it. With running 32 bit you're not using the full 4 GB you have now.

I own a 64bit also wich I would install if I'll do this. I just need to know if this will work together

Best anyone can say is maybe. If you do out them together and they work all 4 sticks will run at the speed of the 2 slowest ones.

So if I put them in, and the system boots up to windows and no problem on the way, its working?
