It seems as if after my reformat/reinstallation of windows 7 that some how my 64 bit cd/system installed as a 32 bit system. It still says its a 64 bit system though.

It also used to let me get 1080p resolution before reformat, now its something like 1600x1200.

32 bit only has one program files folder on C drive 64 bit has two one with (x86) after it

Also right click my computer>properties and it will tell you which system type you are running

Welcome to SF problemsyes.
What do you mean by "cd/system"? You likely have either a generic or old graphics driver but I can't help because your system specs is "64".
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/180324-system-info-see-your-system-specs.html

By Cd/System I mean my cd is 64bit and so is my system, neither are bought or made to be 32 bit.

The graphics driver was updated to most recent, as were all drivers.

I'm using a 32 or 34" tv
8GB Ram DDR3
Radeon HD 6850 1GB
Thuban 1100t 6 Core 3.3ghz
Asrock extreme 970
Xonar DX 7.1
Killer Xeno
OZC Agility 3

I guess the system didn't go to 32 bit, but I was under this impression since I thought I remembered my program files being x64 before, and now its x86.

Anyways, the resolution switch is the biggest problem the resolutions are not the same ratios.

1600x1200 doesn't even have stuff like 1024 or 1920x1080p resolutions to choose from it has a whole different selection.

The above snip shows the normal program file arrangement for a 64 bit W7 install.

Have you tried uninstalling your graphics driver, rebooting and see if Windows Update will install one?

did you swap monitors? 1600x1200 is a 4:3 ratio and 1920x1080 is 16x9 so the 1600 resolution shouldn't even be in your choices.

I've tried installing different versions of the ccc to see if I could get it back to the other ratio.

No, I'm using the same acer tv, it shows up as a generic non pnp monitor or something similar to that.

And then what?

This is my situation :

I had 1080p to select from with what I had.

I put a new mobo in (bought new mobo and a faster ssd, they came in on diff days), reinstalled windows, no longer had the 1080p after newer drivers (however I think I had to do something the first time for it). Installed windows 8 nothing there either.

Get the new ssd the next day, install win 7 on it, and new drivers, tried a few different drivers, nothing still the same 1600x1200.

You had not mentioned a new board in your first post. Do you have the PCIe graphics set as primary in BIOS?
If you'd try my suggestion Update mayhelp you regain the res you want.
