Win 7 64 bit : Can't access a particular website

have you re-called your isp & let them know the result of using/not using the proxy? there is some difference in there of the routing between you and your associates which may be down to a router or switch in the path from you to the site that is different for them. isp may be able to tweak it. maybe not.

p.s. my isp recommends 1458 for the maxmtu, i get 1492 from the calculation from the link i listed (which is also the highest setting my router accepts). another info thread on MTU is HERE. as noted, yours may differ. note the target site in that calc is arbitrary, you could try with the site we're discussing to see if it differs.

p.p.s. - maxmtu was set on my router in the WAN settings area. to set it in win7 see this microsoft link .
