Win 7 BSOD issue

Hi All,

I am facing BSOD issue in my laptop for last couple of days.
1. I tried to go for launch recommended but afterthe Windows file load i am getting black screen with cursor.
2. I tried to repair system by using Win 7 bootable flash drive but in that also after Window loadfile getting black screen with cursor.
3. I tried safe mode with n/w & command prompt in that after the load of certain drive system show blue screen & reboot automatically.

I dont want to install Win 7 & start from scratch. Can you one please help me on this.

The problem seems to be with the Hard Drive or the Operating System. Try the below mentioned steps and check if this fixes the problem:

1. Ensure there is no disc in the Optical Drive (CD/DVD drive).
2. Ensure there is no USB device or any other external device connected to the computer.
3. Restart the computer after removing any discs or external devices from the computer and check if the computer boots to windows.
4. If the above two steps don't fix the issue, check in the BIOS if the Hard Drive is detected.
5. If the Hard Drive is not detected load the BIOS Defaults and check if the Hard Drive is detected (owner's manual of the laptop might have the steps on how to load BIOS defaults).
6. If the Hard Drive is still not detected, reseat (remove and put it back) the Hard Drive and then check. (This step might require you to open the laptop chassis. If that is the case then take help of a local computer technician. If you want to do it yourself, ensure all the power sources including battery are removed and also all the external devices are removed. You can refer to the service manual of your laptop for steps on how to remove the Hard Drive).
7. If the Hard Drive is detected in BIOS, check the BOOT sequence. Check to make sure, Hard Drive is the first boot device.

I will try this but i am having two OS in the system i am able to access my other operating system. So do you thing the issue is with Hard drive?

how did you have two os in one hdd?...

We can have two OS in one HD as i am having req to maintain 2 OS so at boot time system ask me which OS i want to access. When i am selecting the Linux system i am able to access it but when i am accessing Windows i am getting issue.

with safe mode login it shows blue screen and again reboot it is a sign of windows crashing...
without reformatting you unable to access windows...

U mean to say that i need to start from scratch.

In safe mode its not showing blue screen but system reboot.

yes even in safe mode you cant get into windows... it means that crashing of windows....
anyway try this first..
So went into your bios and somehow SATA HDD mode had been changed from compatibility mode to enhanced mode which apparently doesn't work in my system. Changed it back to compatibility and all is well. I think I cleared my CMOS by mistake so just a suggestion if you're having a similar problem: Check your bios first!
