Try updating this driver, if a newer version is available:

Image name: viahduaa.sys
Timestamp: Fri Jul 10 13:07:01 2009 (4A56B055)

Otherwise, I think your crash may be caused by bad hardware, unfortunately. I'd suggest running a battery of memory diagnostics tests.

H2SO4 Thank you for having a look at my dump

The file you found was part of the VIA sound card drivers for my asus board and they are the latest at the moment :( (but it is a new board). I have been thinking it might be the audio drivers as they have crashed once when I was adjusting some setting in the VIA HD console and i just put that down to setting a setting that i was not meant to be played with.

I have ran memtest 4 for 12 hrs with no errors and have used the windows built it error checker again with no errors.

I have ran windows in safe mode and played two movies and it did not crash so I have uninstalled the audio drivers and am now playing a dvd in normal windows to see if that crashes. Which might prove something but i guess it could be another driver or program affecting these VIA drivers that could be making my computer crash??? any ideas on that?

Try this:
1 - Download the latest version of the Audio drivers from the VIA website
2 - Uninstall the current drivers through Control Panel...Progams and Features...Uninstall a program
3 - Install the freshly downloaded drivers onto your system.
4 - monitor for further BSOD's

This will work if there's a minor corruption in one of the driver files. Uninstalling it first will remove the maximum amount of the driver files, then the fresh files will set up new files that are presumably good.

Update

I uninstalled the VIA audio drivers and rebooted and have now played 3 dvd movies through my computer with no problems at all! (apart from no sound which is to be expected) So it looks like it is the VIA audio driver which are the problem or maybe another driver program affecting theses driver??? Any one have any ideas on this please

Final Update

just to let anyone reading this post know it was the built in sound hardware which was playing up , after I changed to a new sound card it does not crash!! (did not want the hassle of changing the motherboard
