Hi guys, i need help from experts in syspreping Win 7 SOE image.

The story is like this. Recently the company released a new SOE image which exceeds our 16gb thumb drives and they are only providing 2 new 32gb thumb drives for us due to budget. It is insane with the amount of work load we handle everyday. So now i am trying to look for alternative ways to resolve this.

I noticed that if i write the Win 7 setup(downloaded from Microsoft) to a external hard disk, i can boot from it later on and install Win 7 but when i try to do the same method on our SOE image, it doesn't boot/work. I get this 0xc000000e Windows fail to start error message and it stops there. Anyone know what is the problem i am facing here? I am suspecting it was disabled in the sysprep process when they creating the image. Anyone can help? =(

Hi Mjzsakae, welcome to the Seven Forums.

Your error code means that Windows cannot access a device it needs in order to be able to boot. If your image on flash drive has been prepared by your employer, the correct place to ask assistance is the IT department. For us here it is impossible to tell how the image has been made and customized, what is allowed and what not.

I am sorry but that's the only answer I can give. It might be other members have something else to suggest.

Image is prepared by an outsourced team and my boss wouldn't want to help as he does not care as building of machines are not part of his job.

Thumb drives that are detected as local disk won't work as well, only removable device works. =(
