Hello,
Since I have Win.7 PRO 64, and will be upgrading to Win.10, PRO 64, I first wanted to ask those of you who were thinking about upgrading to Win.10 Pro 64 bit, from Win.7 Pro, who presently has a B85 Chipset, (MSI B85-G41 Mobo) or, an Intel core i7 processor, and what yourself had to replace, for a successful install, from, Win.7 pro, to Win.10 pro?
Win.7Pro 64/MSI B85-G41 PCMate/UPGRADE to Win10Pro64?
Hello, Window people,
I have a, B85-G41 PC Mate MoBo that I last rebuilt, in 2013, so I'm a tad overdue.
MoBo/LGA 1150/Intel Core
i7-4470 [3.4GHz] / HDD 1T/SSD350GB/
750W PSU/MEM.DDR3-16GB/
Graphics-Nvidia GTX750/Supports Intel processors, for Windows 7, and Win 8.
At present, I still have Win.7 PRO 64, not jumping on the Win8, or Win10, bandwagon, and I missed the free upgrade to Win.10 Pro.64, before no longer to supporting it as of this past, mid-January 2020, even though, my OEM, is a licensed key, I'm not sure if I can still either upgrade the Main C:, or do a clean install, especially, if anyone here can tell me, with certainty, based on my specs....?
To upgrade to Win.10 PRO, [from Win.7Pro64]
Can anyone please advise me, if anyone with same specs, upgraded from Win7 to Win10Pro 64, what did you need to replace, for a successful upgrade? Since this B85-G41, only supports Win7, and 8, I'm assuming this MoBo, will not support Win10? sooo, I will I need a replacement MoBo?
How about the Core Processor, i7, since this CPU supports Win7, and 8, do I also need a newer CPU?
I don't like pre-bundled, propriatory Dells, HP's, Apple, Gateway, IBM, Compaq, and the like. And used to rebuild every seven or eight years, but with cancer, disabled, I'm not looking forward to all the part installs, if I need a new Mobo, (not a gamer, use video/graphics) CPU, replace memory modules, and other hardware, ethernet, software, update firmware, and all that jazz. When I upgrade a new Windows OS, I usually disconnect all hard drives, except the boot drive, in case I format a drive, that I do not want, by accident. Presently, my D: Storage is at 40%, my C: drive is at 80%, and I need to delete or transfer files, from my C drive, if I'm only going to do an upgrade, keeping all my files, but maybe a clean install of Win.10, [on possibly a new updated Motherboard, and and/ or a new necessary CPU, to support 10.
Thank You!
