Win Updates repeatedly notifies same updates

My problem with Windows 7 Updates is not that they don't install, it's just the opposite: for a couple of weeks, I click on the update icon in system tray and the same update notification says to install the same two updates, [FONT=&quot]Security Update for Windows 7 (KB2393802) and Security Update for Windows 7 (KB977165). I check the installed updates and see where these two have been installed about 20 times. A couple of times I restarted even though it didn't say to restart, to see what would happen. Should I set "customize" to "hide icon and notification"? Should I uninstall all the duplicates and just leave one set of the two? Thanks for any ideas you all have. ec

Click yoda and follow the instructions there, even though you have no dump files, it might provide insight if we can see your system error log.

I would delete all the duplicate updates. Leave none of them.

Then try updating again or turn Win update off temporarily and get the updates manually to install.

Then you can set Win Update back to what you want.
