I purchased a computer that came with windows vista during july while they were offerening a free upgrade to win7 when it came out. I recently got my copy of windows 7 home premium and upgraded it and have been getting strange freeze ups.
I've barely installed anything but world of warcraft and the driver disc that was sent along with the win7 disc. What happens is at random times the screen freezes with weird lines going horizontally throughout the screen and sometimes i can move the mouse but the screen shortly goes blank and I have to reset the computer.
I haven't gotten any BSoD but I have apperently been getting dump files.

Hi,

You have memory corruption associated also with graphics driver fault.

Set your motherboard bios to be correct for your specific RAM modules. Visit the maker's site for Vdimm (voltage) and timings. Use spd tab of CPU-Z to find out which modules you have.

Take things from there. Also, install the latest video driver from NVIDIA site, but this is not going to make the difference. It's just good.

Run Memtest86+ overnight if you still get issues after adjusting your bios.

It also could be a heat issue with the video card. Run with a large room fan blowing in on the opened case to test if it crashes under this condition or not.
