Win7 Onboard Faxing Requirements

First of all, I apologize if this isn't the exact proper sub-forum, but I didn't see anything else that was as close to my application. I was curious about using the fax capability that comes stnd with Win7. However, when I tried to set it up it wanted to see a fax modem, or a networked fax server. I guess it's silly of me to think that using a broadband ISP would suffice as a substitute for either of these options. Am I doing a bit of wishful thinking?:huh:

You need a phone line modem to use fax. But there are some Internet fax services available. You can check them out.

I noticed in your System Specs.

OS Win7 64Bit Enterprise

I would suggest contacting your I.T. Department for help on such matters.

I.T. Departments don't like others messing with their setup and computers.
