win7 start up & shut down is very slow.

Gud evening ,
I am facing problems with my windows 7 professional 32bit operating system. From few
days its turn on and off very slowly, i mean to say the start up process and the shut down process is very slow.
please Help me and give the right suggestion to over come that particular problem.

Do you have any programs running in the background? Also have you tried system restore?
