I've just built a new computer. I've installed Windows 7 twice, both times during the SP1 update I got a BSOD and the computer rebooted.

There have been no other crashes or problems either before of after the BSOD. Both times the BSOD occurred before I install most of my software.

The system is not overclocked.

PS here is the error that showed up after rebooting:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x000000c2 (0x0000000000000099, 0xfffffa80255695f0, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 051513-13088-01.

   Tip

If you have an SSD, make sure the following are up to date:
  • SSD firmware
  • BIOS Version
  • Chipset Drivers
  • Hard disk controller drivers/SATA drivers
  • If you have a Marvell IDE ATA/ATAPI device, make sure the drivers are up to date from the Intel site or Marvell site and not from your motherboard/vendor support site.
Thanks to Writhziden for the steps above.

That's all for now.

I disabled the AppleCharger Service.
I uninstalled Autogreen and ET6.
SFC and Diskcheck showed no problems.
I did find that I am a step behind on my SSD BIOS. Unfortunately, the drive is encrypted and has about 100G of software installed on it.
I will run the memory test overnight.

From what I am reading, the AppleCharger.sys is the culprit.

Will continue to test and see what happens.

Thank you.

One of my programs (Sonar x2) is now locking up. I am going to backup and rebuild from scratch.

From reading here in the forums and goggle'ing it seems the proper install is:
1) Install Windows
2) Update Firmware. BIOS is current, need to update SSD's
3) Get drivers from the manufacture, i.e. download Intel drivers from Intel, not from Gigabyte
4) Install Service Packs for Windows
5) Install my external adapters, with their drivers and software
6) Install Software
7) Go over to a friends with a 12 pack so I can vent.

How important is #3? The last build, I just installed everything from the Gigabyte provided disk.

Personally for motherboard drivers I always use one from the manufacturers' site. Some of Intel's drivers have been troublesome lately and I suspect the OEM at least will have stable one.

Now go get started on the 12 pack. :)
