Problem: Mouse (any mouse) wheel scrolling action randomly doesn't work. Meaning it sort of works but only about one out of five ticks of the wheel has any input effect. Sometimes it works fine for a while then stops again, sometimes it will barely scroll at all and only registers about one tick out of 15. Very random. Very annoying. This is with all of my 5 or 6 mouses? mice? I have laying around.
If I run Windows 7 32 bit configured exactly the same with all the exact same programs and drivers (64 bit versions vs 32 of course)...no more problem with the very same mouse. It is only Windows 7 64 bit. The only USB device connected is the mouse. It does it if I install Logitech mouse driver or just run Windows default driver. Has anyone else heard of this problem before, or have any ideas? I am stumped on this one. These are all corded mice, all USB. Logitech MX310, and Gigabyte M6800.

, meaning only 1% in use while browsing the internet to make that post. Sorry, I wrote that the way I read it in Task Manager. If it was 99% in use I would simply restore a backup image immediately figuring I somehow got infected. I don't use any security programs. They are usually the cause of slow downs and poor performance.
