Window 7 64bit stuck at windows startup and safe mode not working

Can someone please help me my pc wont load into the desktop it keeps geting stuck at windows start up logo with just 2 dots on it. I have tryed booting it from the windows 7 disk but it starts up windows logo and gets stuck again. I have tryed repairing it from systems repair (and other like it) but it jus loads up a black screen and nothing. I have tryed all 3 safe modes, all got stuck at windows\system32\drivers\ClassPnP.sys. I have also tryed other the stuff on Adanvced restore (f8) and it just gets stuck on windows logo or black screen. I have also tryed takeing out all the usbs no help at all

My mb is a GigaByte 870A-UD3
Os is windows 7 home 64 bit

Please help me i dont wanna lose all my important family photos and school work.

LOL - that sounds forlorn.

Ther are a couple of things to try now.

One is to replace the driver - classpnp.sys with another.

Obviously, you need to take it out of the .zip file first.

The other is to run checkdisk.

Seems you can't to do the second option atm.

Try replacing the driver - you need to copy it into windows\system32\drivers.

You will need something that can boot to do that.

Suggest you try a Linux boot disc - parted magic will probably do the job.

download the .iso and burn as an image to cd.

You will nedd acces to another to do that.

Then boot the cd you made on the sick machine.

You will need to be able to get to the replacement classpnp.sys from there - put it on a acd or flash - then copy it into windows\system32\drivers.

So iam going to have to buy a flash drive downloads thoses 2 items and then what run it from boot because i cant get to desktop at all

Just like this:

download the parted magic .iso and burn as an image to cd.

You will need acces to another pc to do that.

Then boot the cd you made on the sick machine.

You can't run checkdisk - so your other option if the above doesn't work - is take it back to the shop as it is only amonth old.

Hi, found this while googling, I rebooted pc after removing nod 32, went into safe mode and pc locked on after loading ati driver? locked solid. Tried to boot into windows normally locked solid on windows logo. Booted from rescue disk locked solid on the loading bar!
All fans were running, I thought psu had gone, before kicking it out the window I reset cmos and everything was fine.
I have since restored from an image, have no idea what caused this, but I didnt check any hardware, ie pressing ram in etc, just rest cmos.
try that.
very mystified as to what on earth happened?

Hi there. This morning I had found that my PC was stuck in shutting down mode. This seems to happen when Microsoft automatically performed an update. I'm shutting that off today. Anyway I tried rebooting and my machine would never reach the Windows splash screen. I tried doing a repair but Windows didn't find anything wrong. I rebooted using the option that allowed me to see the post boot messages. It hung on classpnp.sys. I tried rebooting in safe mode but the same thing happened. I found in a posting somewhere on this site some things to try.

I tried renaming the classpnp.sys to classpnp.old. When I rebooted it rebooted, then rebooted again and automatically launch system repair. After is scanned system startup files it said it couldn't help me. So I went back and renamed classpnp.old back to classpnp.sys.

Ultimately I went into bios and reset everything to default. That seemed to work for me yea!
